Frustrated by baby eczema?
Baby's who suffer from eczema have very delicate skin. Here are some suggestions to help cope with baby eczema:

Using natural products for baby eczema
Natural products are gentler on the skin and are known to be less irritating to baby eczema than the synthetic cleansers used in other baby products. Read the labels on your baby bath. Do you understand those ingredients? Do you know anything about those ingredients. For some surprising information on those chemicals look them up at the
Children's Health Environmental Coalition website. At the least, they are harsh and can trigger allergies including baby eczema. Using natural baby products will cause less irritation than these chemical cleansers and chemical preservatives.
Moisturize the dry skin your baby has
Commonly suggested by doctors are products like Aquaphor and Eucerin. While these products do moisturize, they also contain petroleum based products and preservatives. Petroleum jelly, mineral oil, or paraffin are petroleum products. Petroleum products actually block the pores and keep the skin from breathing, but the skin needs to breathe. There have also been warnings about using petroleum products on our skin. Let's face it, these products come from crude oil. They are not used because they are good for our skin, they are used because they are inexpensive and easy to get from the petroleum industry.
Another option for moisturizing their skin is an all natural body butter. What may be triggering my baby's eczema?
Honestly, baby eczema and eczema in general can be triggered by just about anything. It could be food they are eating (or mom is eating if baby is breatfed), it could be the laundry soap you use, the perfume that you wear, the fragrance that is in any products used on baby and his/her clothes, the fibers in baby's clothes. The list in endless and, as you can see, it can be quite difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of your baby's eczema.
But consider this, it could also be the chemicals or preservatives in the baby care products you are using. This was exactly the cause of my daughter's baby eczema and we "found" it by accident. You can read more about our experience with
